The Darlington Rifle & Pistol Club (DR&PC) has been established for over 50 years and is affiliated to the National Rifle Association (NRA), the National Small Bore Rifle Association (NSRA) and the Durham & Cleveland Small Bore Rifle Association (DCSBRA). It currently has around 30 members of all ages from 15 years to 75 years and its members come from all walks of life, including a number of retired people
The club meets every Wednesday evening from 1830hrs until 2130hrs at the above Army Reserve centre. It has an indoor, four lane shooting gallery, a pleasant bar /lounge area and unlimited car parking space. The complete premises have normal 24hr military security in operation. In addition to the above premises the club has access to the MOD full bore rifle ranges that are under the control of the Army Training Estate, Catterick Area.
The following rifle and pistol disciplines are catered for in the Club:
1. Small Bore (0.22” calibre) 25 yard prone target.
2. Small Bore 20 yard sporting rifle.
3. Full Bore (above 0.22” calibre) target shooting 100 yards to 600 yards.
**Please note that we do not have the facilities to cater for air rifles or pistols. **
To comply with the MOD safety regulations the club has 10 NSRA (small bore) approved Range Control Officers and 9 NRA (full bore) approved Range Control Officers.
This section will be fully updated shortly. You can enjoy shooting just to improve your score or join many competitive leagues both locally and nationally. There are many disciplines to enjoy.

New members normally serve a six month probationary period shooting on the Club Firearms Certificate after which time and at the discretion of the Club Committee they would normally be elected full members. At this time they can apply for their own Firearms Certificate that would allow them to purchase and own their own firearm, subject to Police discretion.
The regulations regarding ownership and use of firearms are necessarily very strict and can appear complicated, but the rules are there for a reason and the club can advise and assist when you decide to apply for your own certificate.
